"High-country Love"

Late Fall has to be my absolute favorite time of year. When the mountains begin to get the early snow falls while the aspen still hold their colorful leaves, the combination of colors simply inspires me! Of course, love is also in the air as the deer begin their rut. In this scene I imagine an old timer making their way out the mountains to escape the harshness of the coming winter. Or perhaps this is modern day camper who prefers the traditional pleasures while exploring the mountains. Either way there's something about this painting that gives me that feeling of total bliss. Oh and by the way, can you spot the elk?

MULEBUX

I received this original painting as a farewell gift after working for the National Park Service. I met Chuck a long time ago when he was a seasonal worker at Theodore Roosevelt Natl Park. I was amazed at his beautiful paintings he was creating in a small makeshift apt./studio. I was choked/teared up to have been given this amazing original. The colors and all of the tiny details take my breath away, not to mention that mule deer are my favorite big game animal. My pickup license plates are MULEBUX so this gift was perfect and will always be treasured. Thank you Chuck and Kevin
