I feel like almost any of my best memories outdoors could begin with "One Quiet Morning." It could be any season, any kind of view, or any morning for that matter. But it's hard to beat those still mornings as the sunlight begins to peek through. Winter especially has something about it that makes things feel stuck in time. 

The stillness after a fresh snowfall and chilling night can be like something out of this world. I wanted to capture that crisp, quiet feeling of a cold winter morning in this painting as well as the sparkle of those first rays of sunlight.
